Peterborough East Station on 24th June 1964. This is a work stained Jubilee Class locomotive which had just been turned on the turntable at the [Peterborough station's current rival can be found on the other side of town, but over the years, there have been a number of railway stations in the city. Peterborough East preceded the main station by five years but closed in 1966, and the shortlived Peterborough Crescent lasted only peterborough east station

Notes: The station was opened as Peterborough with East being added on 1st July 1923. The station closed to freight traffic on 17th April 1966 and to passengers on 6th June 1966 but was retained as a parcels depot until 29th June 1970.
